This award recognizes companies that make an outstanding contribution to area charities or community projects through donations of time or service or by providing financial support.

Benson Myles is a firm with a social conscience. The firm’s managing partners have consistently stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between performing legal services and giving back to the community both financially and with individuals becoming involved. This has been the philosophy of the firm since its inception over twenty years ago. Besides annual financial contributions to a host of charities and not-for-profit organizations, Benson Myles’ employees routinely take time out of their otherwise hectic schedules to support numerous community projects and charities. Members of the firm routinely dedicate 50-100 hours (several lawyers as much as 500 hours) per year to their community involvement. In fact, a conservative estimate of the total time dedicated to the community by firm members would be in the thousands of hours annually. Certainly, community involvement is part of the culture of Benson Myles.
